"What does your skin have to say about you?"
"What does your skin have to say about you?"
Do others see you before they see you,... meaning your outbreak. Well it"s time for us to change that! There is usually more to the story than meets the eye.
I took my daughter to the dermatologist when she was a teenager for issues related to hyperpigmentation. There was another mother there with her son who's face was covered in acne. That mother shared with me that someone told her that it was because her son ate too much chips, hamburgers and french fries. She quickly told me that was so far from the truth. That mother was right! There are many factors that can cause outbreaks.
- hormonal imbalance
- dairy
- nutritional status
- stress
- poor or improper skin care
- makeup can aggravate, but not usually the cause
- clogged pores
- dehydration
- the list goes on
Make gradual changes not everything all at once. Take a selfie every 2 weeks without makeup to keep track of your progress. Journal what you are doing and how it is working.
- Dry itchy skin --- eczema
- Scaly red rashes --- psoriasis
- Unusual hair growth --- hormonal imbalance
- Dark circles under eyes not due to lack of sleep or poor hydration --- possible nutritional problem.
Know before you treat! You may have to breakdown and see a doctor especially if simple efforts fail to cure.
